Sociology is the study of human society, including social behaviour, interactions, and institutions.


Vision

Sociology is the study of human society, social behaviour, and the structures that shape our lives. Sociology examines how people connect with each other, form groups, and interact within those groups. Sociology explores how societies evolve transform, and adapt over time. Sociology examines shared beliefs,, values, and practices that shapes social life and influence individual behaviour.


Mission

Understand human behaviour in social contexts, analyse the structure and function of social institutions. Contribute to social change and improvement. Investigate the causes and consequences of social problem. Sociology as a  discipline uses various methods of research, including.

Qulitative methods: Statical analysis ,surveys and experiments to measure and quantify social phenomena.

Qualitative methods: Interviews, ethonographic studies and case studies to explore the meanings and interpretations of social life.
